Veterinary Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform many types of testing that can aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet.

- We are able to perform many tests as they are needed for your pet’s care, including:
- Blood tests as CBC (complete blood count) / FBC (full blood count) / Hematology
- Biochemistry tests for liver function and enzymes, kidney function and kidney disease, pancreatic disease and pancreatic enzymes, blood proteins, diabetes test (blood glucose / glycemia), blood calcium
- Urine tests and strips for urinary infections, diabetes, renal failure, specific density
- Skin scrapings for parasitic skin disease as demodex or scabies (sarcoptes, otodectes)
- Test for viruses, bacteria and parasites (feline rhinotracheitis, feline herpesvirosis – FHV, feline calicivirosis – FCV, feline coronavirosis – FCOV, feline panleucopenia – FPV, feline infectious peritonitis, feline immunodeficiency virus – FIV, Feline Leukenia Virus – FeLV, Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), toxoplasmosis, canine parvovirosis (CPV), canine coronavirosis (CCV), giardi, heartworm disease (dirofilaria), ehrlichia, babesia, anaplasma
- Hormonal tests / immunoassay as progesterone, pituitary and suprarenal glands disease (blood cortisol), hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism (T4 and TSH), pancreatic disease (fPL, cPL), cardiac failure tests (NT-proBNP), D-Dimer

We also utilize an outside laboratory for performing other tests as
bacterial cultures , fungal cultures, antibiotic sensitivity tests,
cytology, etc.
